3037198 - Archive Backups are failing with ORA-19625

Symptom

When running BRARCHIVE with RMAN and Libelle configured for DR, the following error occurs when saving the archive log:

BR0202I Saving <archive_log_name> ...
input archived log thread=1 sequence=502771 RECID=2516387 STAMP=1066847188
RMAN-03009: failure of backup command on sbt_2 channel
ORA-19625: error identifying file <archive_log_name>
ORA-27037: unable to obtain file status
IBM AIX RISC System/6000 Error: 2: A file or directory in the path name does not exist.
Additional information: 7
channel sbt_2 disabled, job failed on it will be run on another channel
