3038035 - Limitations for Attachments in Cloud for Customer Mobile Application

Symptom

When attaching files, by selecting manually a local file, you will get the following error message: "Please upload a smaller file size. The following files exceed the xMB size limit".

Environment

 SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Logon to the C4C Mobile app.
  2. Navigate to the Attachments tab of a chosen record (e.g. Account or Opportunity);
  3. Add a local file bigger than 5MB in online mode or a file bigger than 2MB in offline mode;

Resolution

Currently, the file size restrictions on C4C mobile app are as below:

  • Max size per file is 5MB for Online mode.
  • Max size per file is 2MB for Offline mode.

This is relevant for both upload of attachments from camera and gallery.
