3038552 - Form Template Changes are not Reflecting in Existing Purchase Orders

Symptom

User has made changes to the Form Template of Purchase Orders but the same changes are not reflecting when you display the existing purchase orders

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. App: Manage Purchase Orders
  2. Find the Purchase Order > Enter
  3. Navigate to Output Management
  4. Display

The changes done to the form template are not reflecting.

Cause

Changes are done only at the form template level but existing purchase orders were not touched, so this doesn't trigger any new version of ouput unless a valid change to the existing Purchase Order is done.

Resolution

The relevant SSCUI: 102272 - Print-Relevant Purchasing Document Changes, in this you can tick which fields are applicable for print relevant based on which system triggers a new version of output.

Output Control output determination happens only at the document's saving (when you save the changes you made), and the system firstly checks whether the field(s) changed are print relevant fields or not. If at least one print relevant field's change found, then a change S/4HANA Output Control output message is triggered
