Notes: 

a. Double Quotation Marks

” Right double quotation marks (curly quotation marks) are not accepted.
" Quotation marks (straight quotation marks) are accepted. 

Difference: In a standard keyword, when you click SHIFT + quotation marks, you usually get the straight quotation marks which is an accepted special character.

b. Single Quotation Marks / Apostrophe

’ Right single quotation mark (curly quotation marks) are not accepted. 
' Apostrophe (straight quotation marks) are accepted. 

Difference: In a standard keyword, when you click SHIFT + quotation marks, you usually get the straight quotation marks which is an accepted special character.

c. The hypen-minus (-) or short hypen is considered a valid character, but the en dash (–) or long dash is an invalid character. 

Difference: En dash (–) is usually the special character you will get when you type hypen minus (-) then click enter or space on Word documents.
