Symptom
Competency in Career Worksheet is Calculated as "Not Met" or "Zero 0" if Last Rating is 1 causing the readiness value to be too low according to expectation or not met.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Career Development Planning.
Reproducing the Issue
- Rating Scale used in Career Worksheet Template starts with / or the lowest value is 1 or higher
- Does not meet the rating calculation table as per example in Wiki Article: Career Worksheet - Role Readiness
Cause
Caused by rating scale not appropriate to the Career Worksheet Readiness calculation.
Resolution
Please check the Rating scale mapped in Career Worksheet Template (Partners or Support Access only).
Then see if the lowest rating is 1 or higher.
According to Wiki Article: Career Worksheet - Role Readiness
Role Readiness calculation is: (Current rating – smallest rating in the rating scale)/(Expected rating – smallest rating in the rating scale) 100%
Then it means (1 - 1) / (Expected rating – smallest rating in the rating scale) 100%
Zero "0" / (Expected rating – smallest rating in the rating scale) 100% = always 0%
Solution is to start with a scale of 0 so when a user/competency with latest/current rating of 1 will still calculate as 50%
E.g. [(1 - 0) / (2 – 0)] 100
[(1 - 0) / (2 – 0)] x 100
1 / 2 x 100
0.5 x 100 = 50%
