When using Document Generation Templates for Workflow Emails, tables display incorrectly.

Employee Central - Document Generation

1. Create a simple Document Generation Template for use with Workflows
2. In the template, include a table with multiple rows and columns
3. Trigger the workflow so the template is sent
4. Find the formatting/display of row 1 and last row is off/incorrect

Tables used in a document generation template are not rendered very well in email notifications sent out. Specifically, texts in some cells may not look vertically centered as they’re meant to be.
We recommend using some other format such as bullet points / list format, or using the standard template instead of document generation template.

Note: When grid portlets are being used, if there is more than one record, bullet points or list format is not applicable. Only tables can be used to retrieve multiple values from a grid portlet with multiple records.
