Symptom

When creating an external API in "Custom CDS Views" application, cannot find Analytical Cube start with C in the data source list. 

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Custom CDS Views application
  2. Create an external API
  3. Cannot find the Analytical Cube start with C in the data source list

Cause

The Custom CDS view app does not allow analytical queries ( C_xxxxx is an analytical query ) to be used as a data source for creating custom CDS views for any scenario.

Resolution

This is the product design.

It's possible to use the underlying Analytical Cube start with I as the data source when creating an external API.
