Symptom

  • A session running the stored procedure sp_sp (which is sp_showplan with the "long" option) is terminated.
  • ASE errorlog resports an "Infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)" error in the module prE_PARAMs_buf() with a stacktrace:
