Symptom

  • command line prompt after db2iupgrade
       DBI1951W  The instance "DB2<SID>" was not found in the instance list

  •   root> /db2/db2bip/db2_v10.5/instance
         ./db2iupgrade -u db2<sid> db2<sid>
          below is where db2iupgrade hangs found in db2iupgrade trace file . . .
             . . .
            + /usr/bin/cp -prf /db2/db2<sid>/sqllib_v97/acs /db2/db2<sid>/sqllib
