The BOM of phantom assembly can be exploded in Production order but cannot be exploded in planned order.

1. Use app Create Planned order or run MRP to create planned order.
2. The BOM of the phantom material cannot be exploded.
3. When using app Create Production Order to create production order, the BOM of phantom material can be exploded successfully.

There is no production version maintained for the phantom material.
The logic for BOM explosion under Production order creation and Planned order creation area is different .
During a planned order creation, a check is performed on the production version for phantom assemblies. In this case the production version must be maintained.
During a production order creation, system goes through the bill of material maintained for the header material and explodes all components. A production version is required here, but only for the header material, not for the components.

Maintain production version for phantom material.
