You are trying to release a Withholding Tax Return for Country Italy and receive the error message 'Electronic submission for return type Withholding Tax Return - Payment not supported'.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Tax Management work center.
2. Go to the Withholding Tax Returns view.
3. Show All Tax Returns.
4. Select the relevant Tax Return.
5. Click Release.

The error message 'Electronic submission for return type Withholding Tax Return - Payment not supported' appears.

Before SAP Business ByDesign release 2102, the tax return type 13 - Withholding Tax Return was used to generate a file and also execute the payment.

From SAP Business ByDesign release 2102, the tax return type 13 - Withholding Tax Return - Payment can only be used for payment purposes.

A new withholding tax return type has been created to generate the file, the Type 23 - Withholding Tax Return - File, which is available with SAP Business Bydesign version 2102.
