3042843 - Not Able To Post Beyond Six Months In The Past

The option to select scoping question Do you want to extend the posting period beyond 6 months? is disabled in Business Configuration.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Business Configuration work center. 
2. Navigate to the Implementation Projects view. 
3. Search and select the relevant Implementation Project. 
4. Select the button Edit Project Scope. 
5. Navigate to the chevron Questions and expand the element Manufacturing, Warehousing and Logistics. 
6. Expand sub-element Inventory management and select the option Inventory Postings. 

Under questions option you can see that the checkbox against the above mentioned question is disabled.

• The above question has dependency with Quantity Control. 
• You will have to scope Quality Assurance element to enable the checkbox for inventory postings beyond six months in the past. 

Please follow below given steps to select Quality Assurance.

1. Go to Business Configuration work center. 
2. Navigate to the Implementation Projects view. 
3. Search and select the relevant Implementation Project. 
4. Select the button Edit Project Scope. 
5. Navigate to the chevron Scoping and select the element Quality Assurance under Manufacturing, Warehousing and Logistics. 
6. Choose Next. 

You can see that the checkbox against the question Do you want to extend the posting period beyond 6 months? is enabled now.
