Symptom
- Story templates imported from Content Store appear to have a "share" icon once imported.
- Check the sharing of the report and the report is not shared with anyone.
- All users can see delete option on story reports imported from content store.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
Reproducing the Issue
- Login to SuccessFactors;
- Navigate to Reporting;
- Import any Standard Story template from Content Store;
- Notice a "share" icon beside the report, but you have not shared the report with any user.
Cause
This is currently an expected behavior based on SAC folder logic. The icon indicates that the Story is currently in the public folder meaning it is accessible to users with access to Report Centre. Users running the templates would only see data for which they have permission to see.
If you navigate to "Share" the Story, you will see that the report is not shared with anyone.
Resolution
Reports can be un-shared to non-admin users with below mentioned steps:
1. Navigate to "Share" option of the report.
2. See the report is not shared with anyone.
3. Click on Save.
4. Return to Report Center & see that the "Share" icon is removed.
5. Validate that the report is now invisible to non-admin users.
Note:
- Once Story Reports are imported from the Content Store, all users will have the option to delete the Story Reports, even without admin permission. To prevent this, please follow the same steps mentioned above so that non-admin users do not see the Delete option.
- If the same Story is imported again, the same steps must be repeated to unshare it from non-admin users.
