3043119 - Logo doesn’t display when the “Email Job to Friend” functionality is used – Recruiting Management

Symptom

When a user emails a job to a friend, no logo appears in the email.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management (RCM)

Cause

Expected behaviors regarding the apparition of logos with the functionality “Email Job to Friend”:

1. The logo should resolve successfully when the SAP hard-coded default template is used. The logo must also be set up under Company System and Logo Settings. 

The following defect will be resolved in the b2105 release (First Half 2021 release): from the moment we link a custom template to the trigger Email Job to Friend, the logo no longer resolves. Even if we remove the custom template from the trigger, the logo no longer resolves.

2. When a custom template is configured and linked to the Email Job to Friend trigger, the logo cannot resolve, and this is an expected behaviour. The [[LOGO]] token is supported in the SAP hard-coded default template, but not in customers’ custom template. 

Resolution

➣ If you want to have a custom template and that a logo appears, you can add the supported [[MICROSITE_LOGO]] token in your template. You will also need to go to Manage Recruiting Sites > Default Site > Take Action > Edit > Add the URL of the logo at the bottom of the page under “Add Logo” and save.

➣ If we add the token [[MICROSITE_LOGO]] in an email template and link that template to the trigger "Email Job to Friend", and if a URL is entered in Manage Recruiting Sites > Default Site, the token resolves in the email (we see the microsite logo).
