3043277 - Incorrect Break Deductions in Timesheets and Time Statements

Symptom

Incorrect break deductions are displayed in timesheets and time statements.

Business Use Case:

Employees record their attendance times using terminal integration with clock-in and clock-out bookings. The statutory break deductions are taken into account here and are deducted automatically.

In addition, the employees post their times using the time type Project time to the relevant projects, this time type is not credited to the Working Time Account, but the automatic break deduction is also taken into account there and is totaled in the display in the timesheets and time statement.

How to correctly display of the break in the time statement.

Resolution

The system will calculate breaks for working hours and special attendance.

If you have 2 entries for the whole day (1 time stamp for working hours via terminal integration and 1 for special attendance), the system will calculate the breaks twice.

The overall calculation for the working hours will not be affected by this.

The only way the customer can avoid this is by not entering a start and end date for their project time recordings that were done with the given time type.

This is currently the standard system behavior.
