3044068 - Job Monitoring: Deletion of large number of entries from /SOMO/JOBMON* tables

Symptom

You face a table growth problem in a Managed System from the Job Monitoring section of SAP Solution Manager 7.2. In particular:

  1. you notice that tables of the form /SOMO/JOBMON* grow bigger and bigger, and have a significant amount of entries (e.g. several millions)
  2. by direct inspection in one of the /SOMO/JOBMON* table, you realize that one (or a very limited number of) monitoring object(s) is contributing to more than 90% of the table content.
