3044860 - Updates executed in JobApplication(More Information) custom fields via UI or OData API do not reflect on the UI - Recruiting Management

When updating Job Applications, both via IU or OData API, more specifically custom fields, the executed updates do not reflect into the UI.

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Update via OData API:

1. Using OData API, execute a Get on the Application, and notice the values stored on the portlet:
   
   
   
2. Access the UI and confirm those same values are there:
   
   
   
3. Now, update them both, on the JobApplication entity with a different value:
   
   
   
4. Access once again the Job Application page to see the results:
   
   
   
5. Notice that only the field Address line 1(ID:address) has been updated, but the Address line 2(ID: address2, custom field) is not.

Update via UI:

1. Apply to the Job Requisition, and on the Candidate profile update the values. The values here are "Updated on Candidate Profile":
   
   
2. Finish the application;
3. As a Recruiter, access the Job Requisition and open the application, so the Snapshot will be created:
   
   
4. Now, as the candidate, open the application and edit the values. On this case changed the values to "Updated on Application".
   
5. When opening the application again, we see that the standard field "address" has been updated, but the custom one "address2" has not:
   
   

If by any chance you report on this information from the Application for example via Integration Center, the values will be the updated ones, either via UI or API.

This is something part of the design of the Job Application Snapshot, once the snapshot has been created, the updates on custom fields, both via UI or via API to do not go through, it only does for standard fields.

This is a product limitation, due to the design of the Job Application Snapshot, the updates on custom fields are not going to be reflected on the UI.
