3045428 - Custom Fields Show Blank in Learning Ad Hoc Report

Running a report on the Learning Activity or Learning Activities - historical domains in Ad Hoc, returns blank entries for custom fields.

SAP SuccessFactors Career Development Planning

1. In Ad Hoc/ Table Reports, select the Learning or Learning Activities - historical domains.
2. Select the columns and add the custom columns under Employee Profile:
3. Run the report and see that for some (or all) users, the custom fields are blank:

The selected users do not have any learning activities in their development goal plans.

The Learning Activities and Learning Activities historical reports will only return values for custom fields when the user has learning data to report on. 

To verify if a user has learning data in the system, select the Learning Activity columns from the report:

In Example below you can see that for the highlighted columns, the user has no learning data, whereas just below that, the user sfadmin does have data:

For the first user, it is expected that no data will populate in the custom fields. The second will have data as long as they have data maintained for those fields

Note: for users who do have learning activities in their development plan, but do not have data maintained for the custom fields, the report will return an 'N/A' value:

Please refer to the Employee Export (UDF) to see if a user has data maintained for the custom fields.
