Symptom

Production order/process order is with zero target costs.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

Check order target costs via App Event-Based Order Costs.

Cause

There could be several reasons for the issue:

  • There is no actual goods receipt (GR).
  • There is no valid standard cost estimate for the production material.

Resolution

Standard cost estimate is the foundation for target costs. If there is no valid standard cost estimate when creating the production order/process order, system can't calculate target costs.

It's necessary to have a valid standard cost estimate. 

To be considered valid, the cost estimate must have the status FR (Released without errors). Additionally, the standard cost estimate must be valid on the date of the last goods delivery.
