3045643 - System Does Not Generate PI Count Document By Storage Group via Cyclic Product Count Runs

Symptom

You have added a control parameter as Split by Storage Group in Cyclic Product Count Runs, however system has not created any PI Count Document for relevant products.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Physical Inventory work center
  2. Go to Automated Actions view
  3. Find Run ID: X ( i.e X refers to Run ID)
  4. Edit and under Control Parameters-> Split Tasks as Split by Storage Group
  5. Product Inventory Status as Include Both Products with and without Inventory
  6. Under Split Criteria:- Enter required Storage Location ID under Storage Location tab and Storage Group ID under Storage Group tab
  7. Choose Set to Active and perform Save and Close
  8. Now select the Run ID and choose Schedule
  9. Choose Start Immediately
  10. You find that in generated Application Log ID, system has not included any product ID and hence PI Count Document is not generated 

Cause

You have not maintained Cycle Count days in relevant product master data and is Blank. Some value greater than zero must be maintained in Days.

Resolution

  1. Go to Product Portfolio workcenter
  2. Go to Products view and choose By Materials view
  3. Select All Materials via drop down and enter required Product ID
  4. Edit it and choose View All
  5. Navigate to Logistics tab
  6. Select required Site ID under Sites view
  7. Under Details section, enter Cycle Count Days greater than zero
