3046131 - "Lock log failed" message and error 4215 state 1 when a resource governor limit had been crossed in system tempdb - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Configurable parameter 'allow resource limits'=1 with resource limits set
  • Sample error messages in ASE errorlog:
    • Lock log failed for db 2. error=-12
    • User 'usename', application '' exceeded elapsed batch time limit of 60.
    • Error: 4215, Severity: 21, State: 1

DUMP TRANSACTION failed in database tempdb: 11373058 not first log page in serially allocated log extent or allocation page. Should be: 11373057. Previous log record in scan: 11373055.
