3046514 - Umlaut characters do not display correctly in deployed Fiori Application

Symptom

  • Umlaut characters in the application texts do not display correctly.  
  • Application works in WebIDE but once deployed the application does not display the character correctly
  • Example: Character 'ß' is being generated as '\u00df' instead of '\u00DF'.
