3047944 - Enable Custom Quick Thing UI Component (New Quick View)

Symptom

You want to enable the QuickThing (QT) or New Quick View for your Custom Business Object.

Environment

  • SAP Cloud Application Studio
  • SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

Prerequisites:

  • You have created a Custom Business Object in your Solution.
  • You have generated screens with Thing-Type navigation or you have manually created a QT screen.

Cause

You can only have either the QuickView (QV) or QuickThing enabled at one time. You need to make sure New Quick View setting is enabled for the QT.

Resolution

  1. Log on to the Cloud for Customer system.
  2. Go to Settings view in the User Menu.
  3. Select Company Settings.
  4. Search for General setting "Enable New Quick View" and toggle on.
