3048595 - Rank Option is greyed out when using a BW connection in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

When using a BW data source, the Rank option is greyed out.

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2021.1

1. Create a new story based on a BW datasource that contains a hierarchy
2. Use that Hierarchy in a chart
3. Try to use the Rank option

This is by design as SAC does not currently support using the Rank option on a BW datasource with a hierarchy.  BW ranking only works when the dimension uses flat representation.

Note: Rank with Hierarchy is support with Hana.

In order to be able to use ranking, you must use a dimension that has flat representation - not a hierarchy representation
