Symptom

  • Error while saving Embedded Analytics Cloud Story- No authorization to perform the operation on the object
  • Creating Analytical story in Manage KPIs and Reports app throws error: Error while saving embedded analytics cloud story. No Authorization to perform the operation on the object

Environment

SAP S/4 HANA Cloud 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to Fiori Launchpad and go to KPI Design Group
  2. Click on Manage KPIs and Reports app
  3. Click on Stories tab and click on create to create a story
  4. Enter all the required details and design your story 
  5. Click on Activate

Cause

S_DEVELOP authorization object is missing

Resolution

  1. Login to Fiori Launchpad and launch Maintain Business User app
  2. Select your User-ID and click on Edit
  3. Assign SAP_BR_ANALYTICS_SPECIALIST role to your user(make sure that we selected unrestricted access for Write Access)
  4. click on Save
