Symptom
When mapping the location object in RMK field mapping to all the location fields, (City, Country, Postcode and State) the field label configured in the Requisition template for the location object does not appear listed.
It is therefore not possible to recognize the correct location object field to map for Multilocation posting to work.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
- SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing
Cause
The Location object field will not appear with the label configured in the requisition template.
For Foundation Object and Generic Object Field Types, the labels are derived in a particular sequence and from the Succession Data Model, not the Requisition template. Details can be found in the section Labels Derivation for Foundation Object and Generic Object Field Types of the Implementation guide.
Resolution
Ideally no additional field should be configured with the "Location" label so as to avoid confusion. However, there are a couple of workarounds to quickly check the correct field is mapped :
- The field are arranged in the list based on their order in the requisition template so comparing with the template should allow to deduce the correct field
- Changing the language to English Debug (Options / Change language) then navigating back to the RMK field mapping page will display the language key. The correct field will be the field which will appear with the key : RECRUITING_LOCATION_OBJECT: (Location).
