Symptom

  • Is it possible to customize Employee Central's Pay Scale structures similar to how ERP handles Pay Scale in table T510 for "Employee Subgroup Groupings" field for Collective Agreement Provision(TRFKZ)
  • Is Pay Scale structure replication from ERP to Employee Central possible?

Cause

Currently, there is no standard way to configure Employee Central "Pay Scale" structure similar to how ERP handles Pay Scale structures, however, this can be achieved through a customization in EC side so replication between ERP to EC Pay Scale structure can happen.

Resolution

Customers can artificially duplicate the Pay Scale Groups by the different Collective Agreement Provision(CAP)/Employment types/Shift Differential.

They can create a custom MDF field for "Pay Scale-CAP" on Job Info and maintain it for the Collective Agreement employees, then associate the “differentiated”-Pay Scale Groups to those "Pay Scale-CAPs" (which will be assigned at employee level).

NOTE:
For a more consistent structure, customers also have the option to create custom MDF object for "Employee Class" and "Employment Type" so they can associate the "Collective Agreement Provision(CAP)" to the Employment Type.
(this is because "Employee Class" and "Employment Type" are currently picklists)
