Symptom
When rating a candidate in Interview Central, not all competencies defined in the job requisition are displayed.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
Reproducing the Issue
- Access Recruiting;
- Access Interview Central
- Select the candidate to rate, using the "Rate Now" option
Note a mismatch in the number of competencies listed in the Job Requisition and in Interview Central.
Cause
The competency name may exceed the maximum character length allowed by the system configuration.
Resolution
The competencies displayed in Interview Central are sourced from:
Manage Data → JobReqCompetencyMappingEntity (Refer to KBA: 3051296).
Troubleshooting Steps
- Go to Admin Center → Configure Object Definition → JobReqCompetency.
- Under Fields, locate "name" and check the Maximum Length configured (e.g., 255 characters).
- Copy a competency name from the Job Requisition → Job Profile and verify its length using a text editor (e.g., Notepad).
- If the competency name length in the Job Profile exceeds the configured maximum (e.g., 255), it will not appear in Interview Central
For this we have two ways to proceed:
- Increase the "name" field length in Configure Object Definition → JobReqCompetency,
- Ensure the competency name length complies with the maximum allowed limit.
If the issue persists after these checks, please raise a ticket with SAP Support.
