3051939 - Error: Settings Cannot be Changed in the Localization Solution

You are configuring the payment medium formats for your custom localization solution and receive error - "Settings cannot be changed”.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Open the Cloud Application Studio.
2. Open the solution Y_XXXXX(Custom solution name pertaining to the localization).
3. Open the Implementation project (.BCT).
4. Select one of the options e.g. “Edit assignment of custom structure mappings to custom payment medium formats”.

You receive the message “Settings cannot be change".

The scenario of creating custom payment medium formats is not supported and planned to be removed in future versions. Due to changes on the underlying framework, there is no technical possibilities to reenable it anymore.

Other possibilities of creating custom payment mediums are Business Configuration based custom specific payment file structures under Outgoing Bank Transfers Activity or Cloud Application Studio enhancement spot PaymentToPaymentFileConversion. This is the current system behaviour.
