3052420 - Advanced Search Results do not Respect Filters Added

When using Advanced Search, there are results that do not match the specified filter.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Profile

1. Go to Directory Search;
2. Click on “Advanced Search”;
3. Populate the field “Division”, for example;
4. Click on “Search”;
5. See that there are some results displaying that are not part of the specified Division.

As of now, Advanced People Search returns all the GA/CE employments of a person who matches the search criteria. This results in some confusion when some employments not matching any search criteria are returned.

In order to solve this problem, Engineering Team is considering changing the logic of employment selection logic of Advanced Search. Only employment records matching all the search criteria against employment scope should be included in the result set.

This is being considered within future releases, but for updates about that, please keep track of this KBA, as it will be updated once there are news regarding this topic.
