3052421 - setuphadr failed, rs_init report Unable to connect to the RSSD SQL Server - SRS

Symptom

  • Run setuphadr from Companion (COMP) site rcvd the following msgs:
    • Setup replication from "PRIM" to "COMP"...
          (SQL command) sap_setup_replication dr, PRIM, COMP
    • ConfigureRemoteRSInstanceTask Name                   Replication Server Initialization                                                                                                                                        
      ConfigureRemoteRSInstanceTask State                  Error                                                                                                                                                                    
      ConfigureRemoteRSInstanceShort Description           Executes the initialization utility named rs_init to create and configure a Replication Server.    
    • Error: Setup Replication...Fail
  • RMA log printed the following error:
    • Task Monitor Replication Paths - Failed with error message - The Replication Environment has not been defined yet. Re-execute the command after environment setup is complete.
  • rs_init reported:
    • Unable to connect to the RSSD SQL Server
                          '<SID>_REP_PRIM_RSSD'.Make sure that the SQL Server is
                          running, and the 'sa' password is correct.
  • Companion interfaces file contains localhost on primary RSSD :
    • <SID>_REP_PRIM_RSSD
            master tcp ether localhost 4906 
            query tcp ether localhost 4906
