3052928 - Field External ID is not available from rule editor

Symptom

When creating a rule, user find that field "External ID" is not available from rule editor.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open any account
  2. Start adaptation
  3. In the adaptation side pane, click on "<-" to select parent
  4. Switch to the top level (UI component)
  5. Implementation -- Rules and Validations -- add --rule
  6. Search for External ID and it is not available.

Cause

External ID is a dedicated field which system has some predefined processing logic on binding of such data fields.

For such dedicated fields, they are not listed in Rule editor.

Resolution

This is expected behaviour. Dedicated fields are not available from rule editor.
