Symptom

Error when trying to add translations to the fields in Manage Homepage Tour under Manage Homepage.

Error : Unable to create or update tour

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Reproducing the Issue

  • Manage home page.
  • Click on manage tours -> Select any Tour -> Press Pencil ->Click on Steps.
  • Click on any of the step order. Then add translations to the step name field in all languages or any selected languages and the click on Save. You will receive the error.


Cause

The issue is occurring for the translation of the description field.If the translation is not provided for the step name for any locale and the translation is provided for the description for the same locale,then while saving the data the error is thrown because there is no translation for 'step name'(which is a mandatory field to save the data in DB).

Resolution

Kindly add the translations in the required locale for for both step name and description.
