3054922 - Formal Name is not reflecting correctly upon changing Name Format Code via the UI

Formal Name is not reflecting correctly as per Name Format Code selected, when changing the Name Format Code via the UI.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Hire a user selecting a Name Format Code X
2. After the user is hired navigate to their Personal Information Portlet on their Profile 
3. Insert a New Personal Information Record
4. Change the Name Format Code to a different value Y
5. Save 
6. The Formal Name value is not updated to reflect the new Name Format Code 

This is expected behavior. The Name Format Code is respected when selected via the Hire UI and via updates made by imports. It will not be respected via changes made to the field via Edit on the users Profile in the UI.

In case you need to change the Name Format Code for a user, it must be done via a Personal Information Import.
