3054949 - Name Format Code field is not displayed properly for external users/candidates - Onboarding

• Candidates are not able to view anything on "Name Format Code" Dropdown.
• Candidates are only able to view Name Format External Code, not the labels.
• Hiring Managers/Onboarding Participants don't face the same issue, they're able to view these options on New Hire Data Review step.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Log in as an onboardee
2. Select personal data collection tile
3. In personal information portlet, notice Name Format description is not displayed for the Name Format object values on the dropdown OR it does not appear at all.

Although the mdfSystemExternalUserVisibility for NameFormatGO and NameElementGO object definition is set to Read Only, the Name Format description may not be visible for the external users.

Even though the Name Format codes are available for the external users, as name format is a translatable field, it's required to update translations as well for the external users.

Firstly, try follow steps, as the MDF objects might have mdfSystemExternalUserVisibility set to not visible:

1. Navigate to Admin Center > External User Visibility
2. Choose the objects that you want to display to the new hires and select Run.

If however steps above does not solve the issue, it's needed to run a script to update translation indeed. Kindly open a case with Onboarding Support team giving you approval and requesting it for what Company ID it must be fixed. Please refer this KBA on case created.
