3054951 - An error has occurred while fetching your query (JRC00005572) when scheduling CR4E reports via Datadirect driver in BI 4.x

Symptom

  • The below error when scheduling Crystal Reports for Enterprise (CR4E):
    "An error has occurred while fetching your query. This is most likely caused by invalid prompt values. Please try refreshing your report with new prompt values or contacting your system administrator (JRC00005572). (CRS 300003)"
  • The report can be refreshed by viewing, the error is only seen when scheduling the report
  • If a report is scheduled which does not contain prompts get below error, which also occurs in the AJS (Adaptive Job Server) logs for the ones which fail and have prompts:
    com.sap.connectivity.cs.library.ConnectionServer{com.businessobjects.connectionserver.Environment}.CreateJob: [com.businessobjects.connectionserver.DBDError: [DataDirect][ODBC lib] Driver Manager Message file not found. Please check for the value of InstallDir in your odbc.ini.
