Symptom

Unable to cancel/edit some jobs in Scheduled Job Manager or Provisioning > Manage Scheduled Jobs pages, like HRIS Sync and Position to Job Information Synchronization.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Via Scheduled Job Manager or Provisioning > Manage Scheduled Jobs pages, try to edit/cancel a job that was skipped or failed
  2. Check the Details and see that it says 'Invalid user / Invalid job owner

Cause

Invalid Job Owner details or Job Owner is inactive.

Resolution

  • Login as Job Owner to Success Factors or Provisioning pages and edit/cancel the job.
  • No other user can make modifications to the scheduled job.
