3056325 - Customization of business partner number ranges and groups lost or overwritten

Symptom

  • The fields "From Number" and "To Number" in the business partner configuration SSCUI 102296 'Define Number Ranges' are blank or have been wiped out 
  • The quality tenant does not show the correct customizing that was maintained in the SSCUI 102241 'Define Groupings and Assign Number Ranges' 
  • The customizing maintained in the SSCUI 102241 'Define Groupings and Assign Number Ranges' has been overwritten
  • The fields short name , description , number range assignment , internal standard group , external standard group and hide have been overwritten 
  • The error "Interval 02/ does not exist for object BU_PARTNER" is raised when trying to create a business partner 
  • The external check box is not editable in SSCUI 102296

Reproducing the Issue

    A ) Scenario involving the SSCUI 102296 'Define Number Ranges' - To make "From Number" field editable when NR status is set

  1. Open SSCUI 102296 'Define Number Ranges'
  2. Choose the button, “Configure”
  3. Choose the button, “Change Intervals”

    B ) Scenario involving the SSCUI 102296 'Define Number Ranges' - "From Number" and "To Number" is Blank

  1. Open SSCUI 102296 'Define Number Ranges'
  2. Choose the button, “Configure”
  3. Choose the button, “Change Intervals”

    C ) Scenario involving the SSCUI 102241 'Define Groupings and Assign Number Ranges'

  1. Open the SSCUI 102241 'Define Groupings and Assign Number Ranges'
  2. Choose the button, “Configure”

  D ) Scenario involving the SSCUI 102296 'Define Number Ranges' - To make the "External" checkbox editable when NR status is set

  1. Open SSCUI 102296 'Define Number Ranges'
  2. Choose the button, “Configure”
  3. Choose the button, “Change Intervals”

  1. Open the SSCUI 102296 'Define Number Ranges'
  2. Check the Change Documents to take note of the previous values for the affected number ranges
  3. Choose the button, “Configure”
  4. Choose the button, “Change Number Level”

    5. Update the field Number Range Status with the Blank
    6. The "From Number" field will be editable in “Change Intervals”

   B ) Scenario involving the SSCUI 102296 'Define Number Ranges' - "From Number" and "To Number" is Blank

  1. Open the SSCUI 102296 'Define Number Ranges'
  2. Check the Change Documents to take note of the previous values for the affected number ranges
  3. Choose the button, “Configure”
  4. Choose the button, “Change Intervals”
  5. Update the fields "From Number" and "To Number"

   C ) Scenario involving the SSCUI 102241 'Define Groupings and Assign Number Ranges'

  1. Open the SSCUI 102241 'Define Groupings and Assign Number Ranges'
  2. Choose the button, “Configure”

  3. Update the correct customizing again for example Number range assignment

    , Short Name , Description , Numer Range Assignment , Internal Standard Group , External Standard Group and Hide

 D ) Scenario involving the SSCUI 102296 'Define Number Ranges' - To make the "External" checkbox editable when NR status is set

  1. Open SSCUI 102296 'Define Number Ranges'
  2. Check the Change Documents to take note of the previous values for the affected number ranges
  3. Choose the button, “Configure”
  4. Choose the button, “Change Number Level”
  5. Update the field "Number Range Status" to be Blank or 0
  6. The "External" checkbox will be editable in “Change Intervals”
