3056459 - Missing Journal Entry Vouchers IDs in General Ledger

You are not able to find some Journal Entry Voucher IDs in the system.

SAP Business ByDesign.

1. Go to the General Ledger work center.
2. Go to the Journal Entry Vouchers view.
3. Show All Journal Entry Vouchers.
4. Search XXX.

No records found.

XXX - Journal Entry Voucher ID.

The Journal Entry Vouchers missing are Reversal Journal Entry Vouchers which are not shown directly in General Ledger -> Journal Entry Vouchers view.

This happens because the system creates the original Journal Entry Vouchers (JEV) from Journal Entry Vouchers view from scratch and posts them.

However, the Reversal Journal Entry Voucher is not created from the User Interface (UI). Instead, when the User clicks on the Reverse button of a JEV, an action is triggered in the backend to create a new object with the reversed attributes.

That is why the system only displays the original Journal Entry Vouchers and not the Reversal JEV.

It is possible to navigate to the Reversal Journal Entry Voucher from the original JEV or you can also refer to the steps below:

1. Go to the General Ledger work center.
2. Go to the Journal Entries view.
3. Show All Postings.
4. Open the Advanced Search.
5. In the filed '(Related) Source Document ID', enter the Journal Entry Voucher ID you are looking for.
6. Click Go.

Then the associated Journal Entry and Source Document (Reversal JEV) will be displayed.
