3056692 - H1 2021 Feature - Forward Propagation for CORRECTION is not working for calculated fields while importing

Forward Propagation is not happening for some fields while importing on correction action. 

• Pay Component Recurring correction import will forward propagate as per Recurring Pay Component Imports Now Supported on Centralized Services (ECT-133297).
• Activated the forward propagation for Incremental import in RBP-> Employee Central Import Settings -> Enable Forward Propagation during Incremental Import. And then performed Import for correction action.

• Create two Records:
  
  • Record 1:  05/06/2021 (May 6, 2021) has Pay component BASIC BZ with amount as 29000
  • Record 2:  07/06/2021 (July 6, 2021) has pay component BASIC BZ with amount as 29000

  
  

• Insert a new Compensation Information record effective from 06/06/2021 in between Record 1 and Record 2 via import. 
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Now, import Pay Component recurring with pay component, in our test example: as BASIC_BZ and link it to comp record as of 06/06/2021 (created above). Change the amount from 29000 -> 30000.

• Result: Pay Component recurring propagate to July 06, 2021 record for Amount field, but not to Calculated Amount.

Engineering team have confirmed that forward propagation for calculated fields like Annualized Salary did not work even before Centralized Services enhancements. Currently Centralized Services is not designed to support forward propagation of calculated fields. 

The engineering team may enhance the code in future to support forward propagation for calculated fields. This article will be updated once we have more details in this regard.
