Resolution
The following are the steps to enable and permission 'Onboarding Integration' with Recruiting.
a. Provisioning > Company Settings > Enable Onboarding Integration > BizX Onboarding Integration (requires BizX Onboarding).
b. The following will give users access to Take Action > Initiate Onboarding button in the application.
- Admin Center > Manage Permission Roles > [Role] > Permissions > Manage Recruiting > Setup Onboarding Integration (OBD 1.0)
- Admin Center > Manage Permission Roles > [Role] > Permissions > Recruiting Permissions > Recruit-to-Hire Data Mapping (OBD 2.0)
- Admin Center > Manage Permission Roles > [Role] > Permissions > Recruiting Permissions > Onboarding Initiate Permission
- Admin Center > Manage Permission Roles > [Role] > Permissions > Recruiting Permissions > Onboarding Update Permission
Note: The setup for Onboarding 2.0 is in Admin Center > Recruit-to-Hire Data Mapping instead of Admin Center > Setup Onboarding Integration.
c. The following is a requirement for the candidates to be properly processed for onboarding (for both Onboarding 1.0 and 2.0).
- The application should be in Hireable status (Edit Applicant Status Config > Status Set > Open Status > Hirable Options > Hireable).
Note: The Hireable / Hired status may have a different label per customer instance, hence the proper way of checking should be via opening the actual status and checking its Hirable Options.
Moreover, in order for the whole hiring process to work properly, there should only be one status with Hirable Options > Hireable and only one status with Hirable Options > Hired. The Hired status should have a Category > Hired and should be the ONLY one in your status set to be so.
d. The visibility of the Onboarding Portlet is controlled by the feature permission onboarding. This feature permission does not control the visibility of Take Action > Initiate Onboarding Button. This feature controls which recruiting users and in which pipeline statuses the onboarding portlet will appear in.
<feature-permission type="onboarding">

<role-name>O</role-name>
<role-name>R</role-name>
<role-name>G</role-name>
<role-name>Q</role-name>
<status>On-Board</status>
</feature-permission>
e. Can you re-initiate onboarding for a certain candidate?
Once Recruiting has sent the request to Onboarding and it has shown as initiated in Recruiting > Onboarding portlet, it cannot be sent again. The Onboarding portlet will appear on the right side of the application when the feature permission onboarding is given to the user in the requisition portlet.
