3057157 - Cookie Consent Manager - Recommendations for Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager - Recruiting Marketing

In this article we are going to provide you recommendations when configuring the Career Site Cookie Banner and Cookie Consent Manager. Note, this missing configuration can impact Apply with LinkedIn, Addthis, Youtube and also Search bar More options, so the steps described in this KBA will prevent multiple issues from occurring.

Cookie Banner in Cookie Manager tab has been enabled in CSB and corresponding cookie section has not been enabled to add the Cookie Provider.

• Once Cookie Banner is enabled in Cookie Manager tab in CSB it is necessary to include the Cookies associated to the features in the corresponding cookies sections in Cookie Manager tab.
• Refer to the section Configuring the Career Site Cookie Banner and Cookie Consent Manager of the Recruiting guide for more information on how to use cookie consent manager.
• If  any element or component is included to the career site that uses cookies, make sure to add its listing in the cookie consent manager so that the component works correctly. 

Take the Following Steps :

1. Navigate to Career Site Builder;
2. Appearance > Global > Cookie Manager tab;
3. Enable Advertising Cookies Section;
4. Add the Cookie Provider Google Analytics and/or Google Tag Manager [1,2].

1 - By default, Google Tag Manager doesn't use cookies, so add this option only if you're using a custom implementation that does.

2 - If you add Google Tag Manager and/or Google Analytics in Enable Advertising Cookies Section, make sure you have the ID(s) in CSB > Settings > Site Configuration > Site Information tab. This will avoid configuration issues impacting other features (e.g. Apply with LinkedIn missing for applications).
