Symptom

  • BIClient log for the RFC server interface shows the following:
    Error: RFC_COMMUNICATION_FAILURE-LOCATION CPIC (TCP/IP) on local host with Unicode ERROR service 'sapgw00' unknown
  • The SAP Gateway Service name specified in the RFC server interface configuration in Management Console is not being recognized.
  • RFC Server Interface is running Green in DSMC, but test connection in BW system via SM59 failed with error "SERVER_NOT_REGISTERED"
