3058496 - extension field not long enough

Symptom

User creates custom field in Custom Fields for comments that is 400 in length, but UI only shows a field around 75 characters.

Environment

  • Custom Fields
  • S/4Hana Cloud 2105

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a custom field with length of 400
  2. The UI created only shows around the first 75 characters, although all the data is there.

Cause

This is expected as there is no current facility to adjust UI size when creating field.

Resolution

Customer can create adaption project or extension project to modify the size of the UI field.
