Symptom
The recruiter is unable to edit MultiAttachmentSelection field despite having the permission.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
Resolution
For a closed job application, Operators won't be able to add/edit any values to multiattachmentselection field if any of the condition is true:
- If Job Req is closed or
- If candidate is rejected or
- If candidate is hired (job application status)
- If the candidate was closed from consideration using Take Action
For an open job application,
- In the Legacy Candidate Workbench, if at least one document is attached either by candidate or Recruiter the recruiter will not be able to delete the same, even if the recruiter has relevant write permissions. This would not happen in Latest Applicant Workbench, if the recruiter has write permissions, she/he would be able to upload or remove attachments for the field.
- When using the Latest workbench, uploading or deleting an attachment should be done from the Resume and Documents tab instead than from Application Information.
When attempting to upload a document from Application Information the message below appears, directing to the user to edit the field in the tab Resume and Documents:
"You can remove this document or upload an updated version from the “Resume and Documents” tab for this applicant" - If no documents are attached and the field is blank, only then recruiter will be able add attachments and save the application.
- Candidates will be able to add or delete documents at any point of time.
This is an expected behavior based on the current design.
If the option "Enable Additional Attachments Post Application" is unchecked in Provisioning, the only time the multiattachmentselection field will be editable is during application. Once the application is sent, any Operator cannot update the field at any stage/status in application regardless if the field is empty and they have the necessary permission.
