Symptom
Getting an error from Monitor Jobs when importing Business Goal.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
- SAP SuccessFactors Variable Pay
Reproducing the Issue
1. Prepare a business goals file to load direct payout entries (prepare the file without any performance or payout fields. Leave them as blank).
2. Go to variable pay template of 2021 Bonus.
3. Go to Business Goals under Plan Details.
4. Try to import the prepared file.
5. Check Monitor Jobs -> "Error: Not enough Performance/Payout Percent fields are configured"

Cause
Most likely, payoutFunctionType field from the import file has the invalid Payout type.
Resolution
Ensure that the payoutFunctionType is configured with the Correct Payout Type.
- Direct
When goal achievement results are known and the payout percentage is defined. - Interpolation
When you want to approximate the payout value between the two given data points. - Step Scale
When you want to achieve any of the set guidelines. Anything in between takes the lower value.
