3060344 - Integration Center connecting to external REST API fails with "SSLException: Connection Reset"

Symptom

When Integration Center attempts to connect to an external REST API, the error below happens:

SSLException: Failed due to - java.net.SocketException: Connection reset

Cause

The issue happens because the destination REST API server does not have a CA secure certificate:

Resolution

The destination server will need to have a valid certificate installed to establish a successful SSL connection between servers.
