Symptom

Unable to Cancel Onboarding Process for any candidate due to the following error "[COE0018]The cancellation request for new hire xxx has failed. Please contact your administrator"

Failed to upsert data for entity :EmpEmploymentTerminationresult : eventReason NO_SHOW_EVENT_REPORT is an invalid external code for Country/Region XXX

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Onboarding Dashboard, search for the candidate
  2. Click on Actions > Cancel Onboarding
  3. Following error received "[COE0018]The cancellation request for new hire xxx has failed. Please contact your administrator"

Cause

  • Event Reason NO_SHOW_EVENT_REPORT is an invalid external code for Country/Region 


Resolution

  1. Navigate Manage Data > Country/Region > Select the respective Country
  2. Take action > Make Correction
  3. Add the Event Reason "Cancel Onboarding (NO_SHOW_EVENT_REPORT)"
  4. All cancellation events must be added to each respective country
