3060972 - <br>Error While Deleting PDI Add -On Solution: Patch Solution Must Be Discarded First <br><br>

Symptom


  • Attempting to delete a PDI Add
  • On from Cloud Application Studio results in the following error:
    "Solution YXYZ_ cannot be deleted before patch solution YPQR_ is discarded."
  • YXYZ_ refers to the original solution namespace, and YPQR_ refers to the patch solution namespace.

Environment


  • SAP Cloud for Customer Addins
  • SAP Business ByDesign
  • SAP Cloud Application Studio
  • ByDesign Studio Lifecycle Management

Reproducing the Issue


  1. Log in to the tenant in Cloud Application Studio.
  2. Right
  • click on the solution under My Solutions.
  1. Select Delete Solution.
  2. Observe the error message displayed.

Cause


Deletion of the original solution is restricted when a patch solution exists for it.

Resolution


  1. Delete the corresponding patch solution (YPQR_).
  2. Ensure the patch solution is completely deleted.
  3. Proceed with the deletion of the original solution (YXYZ_).
