3061730 - Input Product Has Wrong Confirmation Method

The Confirmation Method is maintained as “Backflush” for all input materials in the Production Model. However, after creating and releasing the Production Order, the Confirmation Method for one of the input materials changes from “Backflush” to “Explicit” during Production Task confirmation.

1. Go to Production Control work center.
2. Go to Task Control view.
3. Select the Task: ABC. (ABC represents Production Task ID).
4. Choose Confirm.
5. Go to the Confirmation tab and select the Input Products sub-tab.
6. The input material displays the Confirmation Method as “Explicit”.

• The affected input material is maintained with a “Mandatory Serial Number Profile” in the Product Master data.
• As a result, the Confirmation Method is automatically changed to “Explicit” in the Production Order and Production Task.
• Since serial numbers must be entered explicitly during task confirmation, the Backflush method cannot be applied for serialized material.

This is standard system behavior.
